How is my FIRE number calculated?
Your FIRE number is your annual retirement expenses divided by your safe withdrawal rate (for example, $40,000 ÷ 4% = $1,000,000). The countdown projects when your current investments, growing at your assumed return and topped up by your yearly contributions, are expected to reach that number. Tap “How this is calculated” on the Plan tab to see the math with your own figures.
Is this financial advice?
No. The app provides educational estimates only. Projections are illustrative and are not guarantees or personalized investment advice.
How do the free trial and Pro work?
You get full access to every Pro feature free for your first 14 days. After that, the core app — your FIRE number, the countdown, the standard home-screen and lock-screen widgets, and your growth chart — stays free forever. Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks the advanced tools for good; there is no subscription and nothing auto-renews.
What does Pro add?
Pro adds the deeper planning tools: compare what-if scenarios side by side, a Monte Carlo chance-of-success simulation, every FIRE variant (Coast, Barista, Lean, Chubby, and Fat), time-phased pension and Social Security income, the contributions-vs-growth breakdown and history, and extra widget styles and per-variant widgets. I bought Pro — how do I restore it on a new device?
Open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchases. Your one-time unlock is tied to your Apple Account and will be restored at no charge.
Does my plan sync between devices?
Yes, privately. If you use iCloud, your plan syncs across your own devices through your private iCloud database (Apple’s CloudKit, tied to your Apple Account). There is no account to create and no server of ours, and we never see your data. See the Privacy Policy for details.
How do I add the Home Screen widget?
Touch and hold your Home Screen, tap the + in the corner, search for “FIRE”, and add the widget. Pro unlocks extra widget styles and per-goal widgets.
Is my data private?
Yes. There is no account, no analytics, and no tracking. What you enter stays on your device, and if you use iCloud it syncs only through your own private iCloud, which we cannot read. The App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected.” See our Privacy Policy.

Compré Pro, ¿cómo lo restauro en un dispositivo nuevo?
Abre Ajustes en la app y toca Restaurar compras. Tu desbloqueo único está vinculado a tu Apple Account y se restaurará sin coste.
¿Mi plan se sincroniza entre dispositivos?
Sí, de forma privada. Si usas iCloud, tu plan se sincroniza entre tus propios dispositivos a través de tu base de datos privada de iCloud (CloudKit de Apple, vinculada a tu Apple Account). No hay ninguna cuenta que crear ni servidor nuestro, y nunca vemos tus datos. Consulta la Política de privacidad para más detalles.
